Good to know

Section 1 of the city's Taehwagang 100-ri Trail runs Myeongchongyo – Taehwagyo – Simni Bamboo Forest – Baerikkeut – Mangseonggyo (Seonbawi), 15 km. The Whale Marathon half course goes from Taehwagyo via the Observatory and Samhogyo to turn at Seonbawi. The north and south banks look different, so crossing a bridge for the return keeps it interesting. Reviews mention frequent strong westerly winds.
